What is the FIAC?
Foire Internationale D’Art Contemporain, or FIAC, is an international contemporary art fair. The annual fair showcases modern and contemporary art and galleries. There is a lot of diverse art to discover during the fair. Every year, the show is uniquely curated to reflect the stage of modern art and emerging talent in the industry.
The FIAC features approximately 200 exhibitors from around the world. Artists and galleries are present at the fair representing many of the top art markets in the world such as Paris, London, New York City, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and São Paulo. The events are also well attended by art media, influencers, and general art enthusiasts.
FIAC was started to develop the art scene in Paris that was already rapidly growing. Founded in 1974, the FIAC set out on a mission to increase available venues and platforms for art to be displayed. It has succeeded in creating a respected platform for established and emerging artists to make new connections and grow their fan base. The clientele present at the art fair also allows smaller galleries to network with more prominent artists.
